GO FISH Aboriginal Design Recycled Mat, Blue & White
2.7 x 2.7m
Go Fish is a popular kids’ card game. It’s also the name of this bright, playful Aboriginal design recycled mat just perfect for the classroom, library or back deck. In charming ocean blue and white, this reversible mat can match your beach house chic or bring the sea to you with its stylized fishing motif.
Fishing is a significant part of Australian life, providing sport, relaxation and nourishment. With this in mind, your Go Fish floormat can be used as seating for your outdoor event, a designated eating space for your class or caravan spot, or simply as a place to chill out with a book.
Classroom Mats for Group Time
This design is also popular in early learning centres, where it can be incorporated in play. Can you count the fish? Can you swim like a fish? What do the dots and wavy lines represent?
As one of our mid-sized mats, Go Fish is lightweight for storage or transportation. Fold it up in the 4WD for your next beach picnic or trip out bush. It’s a great gift for the avid fishing fan who has everything, too! Sand, dust and food spills wipe off with ease – or just hose it down and dry in the shade if heavier soiling occurs. Pair it with a handy beach shelter or one of our must-have fold-up picnic tables for comfortable outdoor living.
Christine Slabb is the artist behind Go Fish. She’s an accomplished Indigenous artist and graphic design from the Bundjalung people, on Australia’s east coast. She defines her design as “Together we fish, together we sit, together we eat”, reminding us of the harmony we can achieve by gathering to share food.
Celebrate cultural diversity in your home or classroom with Go Fish, one of our many beautiful, authentic Aboriginal design recycled mats. Fishing mat? Caravan mat? Play mat? You decide! Order online, with delivery Australia-wide.
