BILADURANG Platypus Aboriginal Design Recycled Mat, Grey & Black
1.5 x 2.1m
The platypus is a truly unique Australian creature, much loved in our art and storytelling. The Biladurang Australia design recycled mat in trendy grey and black celebrates this curious animal in a creative, Indigenous inspired motif.
The Biladurang mat is popular as a camping mat, classroom floor covering or for sitting on at outdoor events. Compact in size, it’s ideal as a souvenir of your Australian travels and is loved by children as a play mat or picnic space. Why not match it with a handy beach shelter for outdoor fun?
Aboriginal artist Wallamarra Elliot is behind this energetic design. From Wiradjuri country, in central New South Wales, he is a visual artist, tattoo artist and proud dad. Tapping into his Indigenous heritage, Elliot reminds us of our connections to flora and fauna, and the preciousness of water, in this lively image.
The Ideal Classroom Mat
The Biladurang mat is ideal in the classroom as a fun and engaging conversation starter for topics including Indigenous languages, nature and conservation. Use it at home to brighten up a playroom or fold it up for the car if you’re heading to the beach.
Like all indoor/outdoor cultural rugs from Recycled Mats, the Biladurang mat is easy to clean and care for. Made from 95% recycled plastics, dust, sand or food spills wipe away with ease. These mats can be hosed down for heavier soiling and folded or rolled up

Love, love, love it!By: Sarah Brennan on 28 January 2017I bought this matt for my husband, he absolutely loves it! The day he opened it we went swimming as an excuse to use it. The matt is the perfect size for our young family and is very soft. The design is stunning. It is now permanently kept in the car for when we are out and about! Thanks so much!

Platypus funBy: Kirschty Birt on 23 October 2016We lOve the platypus mat. We live in a river, complete with platypus, plus we have a pool. Our deck is tiled but the tiles are not wet feet friendly. The mat now lives on our deck, saving wet feet from slipping as the kids come from either the pool or river. I just love this purchase. It's so user friendly, in addition, the kids tell me it makes a great roof for a cubby made from chairs. What's not to love about outside living in Nth Qld, and this mat fits perfectly with our lifestyle. Get one - I promise you'll love it.
