Sustainable repurposed cotton kilim rugs, hand-loomed in India.
The bright coloured Chindi Diamond is ethically produced in a small village of Panipat in India. Manufacturing these rugs in Panipat give fairtrade and safe employment opportunities to families within the community. They are also an eco-friendly option for home interior, office space or living room rugs.
We are proud to have visited and met so many of our craftspeople and to see their work in action as this rug making is truly spectacular. Offcuts from clothing and textile manufacturers are saved from ending up in landfill and are recycled into our beautiful Chindi and Kilim indoor rugs. Discarded fabrics are washed, dyed and hand-loomed into colourful rugs. Due to their recycled nature, each rug is unique and features an individual blend of colours which can be matched with any setting.
The Diamond design features an assortment of bold colours, white topstitching and finished with edge tassels. They make an eye-catching centrepiece under dining room tables, in bedrooms or can be used as living room rugs.
Our Chindis are also practical is child care centres. They are commonly used for story time, providing a positive designated relaxation area for children to enjoy while reading and imagining. One can be used in the corner or side of a classroom to define play time too.
To hold this beautiful rug securely to all floor types, we recommend using an anti-slip underlay that can be purchased at most hardware stores and cut to size.

Every rug features a unique variety of colours.
Light vacuuming or spot-cleaning with a damp sponge is the best approach when caring for these rugs. For a deep clean, use a professional carpet cleaner.

Cheerful Chindi seatingBy: Mim Crase on 11 July 2019Very happy with the mat, it catches everyone's eye and it makes great focal point for all our activities. It is a good size to rapidly deploy and use for moving around.
