Many schools place an emphasis on belonging to a 'House' and proudly display the House colours that help to identify them with a sense of camaraderie and unity. By participating as a team or individually, the house colour system is designed to assist students in developing a feeling of belonging and ownership.
A sense of inclusion and engagement in a common enterprise can have both academic benefits as well as social-emotional ones. With this in mind, the motifs on each mat helps a child to recognise themselves as an individual that is part of a larger group.
The 'Symbols' inclusions in the pack have been designed by accomplished Aboriginal Artist De Greer Yindimincarlie, of the Wiradjuri Nation in Central Western NSW. Each mat shows easily remembered Indigenous motifs, which help children celebrate animals, nature and cultural diversity while they enjoy their daily activities.
Part of the Educational mats range, this unique pack contains a total of 40 individual seating mats (20 'Symbols' mats and 20 'Aussie Mates' mats - each in Red, Yellow, Green & Blue). They are perfect for all sporting events, classroom activities or can be taken on school camps and excursions. The micro-fibre suede tops are made from recycled plastic bottles and they are not only comfortable to sit on, but are kind to the environment too.
Each mat measures 40cm in diameter and the rubber backing contains no silicone, toxic glue, phthalates or PVC. Being 4mm thick, they're hard-wearing, easy to care for and won’t retain moisture.
As an added bonus, with this multipack, we are including two FREE large tote bags, to make carrying your mats a breeze!

Naturally sourced, the rubber used in our mats contain no silicone, toxic glue, phthalates or PVC and unlike other synthetic rubber or foam, it's hard wearing and wont retain moisture and are all BPA FREE. Microfibre suede top is made from recycled plastic bottles. FREE tote bags are a blend of cotton, calico & hemp.
