These blue Aboriginal design seating mats feature Indigenous symbols that depict a connection to culture and beliefs, helping children learn more about their own and other cultures during class or playtime
Designed by respected Australian Aboriginal artist De Greer Yindimincarlie, of the Wiradjuri Nation in central New South Wales, this pack features several, easily remembered Indigenous motifs. The mats help children celebrate animals, nature and cultural diversity while they enjoy their daily activities.
This set is also available in larger packs of School House colours, making them perfect for use during sporting carnivals and school events. Many schools place an emphasis on belonging to a 'House' and proudly display the House colours that help to identify them with a sense of camaraderie and unity. By participating as a team or individually, the house colour system is designed to assist students in developing a feeling of belonging and ownership.
A sense of inclusion and engagement in a common enterprise can have both academic benefits as well as social-emotional ones. With this in mind, the symbol on each mat helps a child to recognise themselves as an individual that is part of a larger group.
Part of the Educational mats range, this unique pack can be used for school events, classroom activities or be taken on camps and excursions. The micro-fibre suede top is made from recycled plastic bottles and is not only comfortable to sit on but is kind to the environment too.
Each mat measures 40cm in diameter and the natural rubber backing contains no silicone, toxic glue, phthalates or PVC. Being 4mm thick, they're hard-wearing, easy to care for and won’t retain moisture.
These handy packs are also available in other School House colours of green, yellow and red. You can buy all four sets in our easy 'Multipack' and receive a FREE tote bag for easy transportation. They can be used in conjunction with our range of Aussie Mates seating mats to create an inclusive setting for games and activities.
Other seating mats include our Australian Native mats. Each mat in this lovely set of 10 educational mats is 60cm in diameter and made from recycled plastic. Or help your little ones learn to count from 1 to 12 as well as teach them colours and shapes with our Numbers Colours Shapes mats, also made from recycled plastic.
Team these seating mats with an educational bestseller, The Little Black Game Pack bringing endless hours of fun and entertainment whilst learning to recognise Indigenous symbols and motifs. Another popular educational addition is our range of giant cushions which make for a super comfy reading or relaxation corner, setting the scene for both fun and education.
