De Greer-Yindimincarlie is an Australian Aboriginal woman from Wiradjuri country in central western New South Wales. She is acurator, educator and multi award-winning artist working in many mediums including paint, music, graphic and textile design, resin and wood, and film.
De won the First Nations Woman in Business category in the 2022 SA Woman Business Awards. In 2013, she won the Professional Deadly Dressed Award at the 2013 National Deadly Awards, for the Yindi dress which bore her textile design. In that year as well as 2011, De was nominated for the Deadly Awards ‘Visual Artist of the Year’ category. In 2008, she won the South East Queensland NAIDOC award for ‘Distinguished Services in the Visual Arts Industry’.
De celebrates her Aboriginal culture everyday through her businesses and arts practice taking her stunning work to the public domain and private collections worldwide. Her original artworks and products are held by the National Gallery of Australia, and the Toledo Museum of Art in Ohio USA, and numerous other galleries and gift shops.
De is a respected member of the community, and a highly sought after Aboriginal graphic designer. She has worked and collaborated with many organisations including the Commonwealth Department for Agriculture, Water and the Environment, QLD Health, TAFE NSW, Australian Skills Quality Authority, Commonwealth Grants Commission, MSS Security, Administrative Appeals Tribunal, QLD Police Service, QLD Aboriginal and Islander Health Council, All Together Now, Administrative Appeals Tribunal, the eSafety Commissioner and more.
De has lectured and/or tutored at Sunshine Coast University QLD, Griffith University QLD, Edith Cowan University WA, Charles Stuart University NSW, and University of Sydney on a diverse range of subjects including Aboriginal Art Practices and Protocols, Aboriginal Culture, Creativity and Innovation in Business, and Business Practices.
De is also a professional musician, and has composed soundtracks for film and produced albums for many musicians in her studio. To date, De has recorded six albums of her own original music, and has played with such musical greats as the late Archie Roach, Kev Carmody, Dan Sultan, Wolfmother, Neil Murray, and Andrew Farris.
