WATER DREAMING Aboriginal Design Recycled Mat, Red Wine & White
1.8 x 1.8m
Play mat? Camping mat? Floor covering for your caravan trip? If you’re looking for a sturdy rug that’s hardwearing but also stylish, choose a contemporary Indigenous design mat from Recycled Mats.
The Water Dreaming Aboriginal design recycled mat in rich red wine and white is ideal as a reading spot, play space or just an eye-catching statement for your home or office décor.
Made from 95% recycled materials, Water Dreaming is not only great for celebrating cultural diversity – it’s also great for our earth. The innovative recycled plastics we use to create our mats is easy to clean, comfortable to sit on and UV treated to resist colour fading.
Dean Jakamara Briscoe is a respected Australian Indigenous artist from the Anmatyerre, Central Desert, region. He’s a professional artist and owner of Anmatyerre Arts and Crafts. In Water Dreaming, he reminds us of the fact that water is imperative to life everywhere. It is particularly noticeable in desert regions, where rain and full waterholes can transform an arid landscape within hours. Rain means new life.
Every Aboriginal mat commissioned by Recycled Mats is developed in close consultation with communities, and features images that are culturally-appropriate for sharing. Water Dreaming can be used in a classroom to invite discussion about many topics, including culture, nature, conservation and colour. Pair it with a set of educational games to extend multicultural learning or some comfy matching cushions for a relaxed reading corner.
Water Dreaming Aboriginal design mats in warm red and white provide perfect indoor or outdoor ground cover for any occasion, from the classroom to the campsite.

Great Kid Friendly MatBy: Mahalia Nelson on 22 November 2017Really happy with this mat, we use it indoors as we have tiles throughout. Our little one loves to play and dance on it and it is a unique feature to our home.
Water DreamingBy: Mishele Tolhurst on 23 October 2016I bought this one for my son who is on a journey around Country. He loves it because it folds up beautifully, taking very little space; yet is plenty of room for him, the dog and table/chairs! Cleans easily and dries quickly! Perfect for making traveling comfortable <3
