We are thrilled to finally release our unique recycled leather ottomans. These ottomans are created by patchworking together a range of the leather brand tags that are commonly found on the back of every pair of jeans sold around the world.
Local Indian craftspeople recycled these tags to make a one-of-a-kind piece of furniture that will soon become the talking point of your home. We guarantee every visitor will be searching your Ottoman to find their favourite brand tag too!
Packed flat for easy delivery, these ottomans come unfilled but are easily filled with your choice of material. See below for a detailed how-to.
These leather ottomans stand at 40 cm high and are 40 cm in diameter. They are the ideal height for a comfortable foot rest but can double up as extra seating in living and bedroom areas. Our only piece of advice - keep this furnishing piece in a visible spot. It will continue to make you smile for years to come.
Pair this Leather Ottoman with one of the Natural Jute Rugs in our Indian Rug collection. A leather and jute combination is on-trend for the perfect indoor Spring/Summer set up.
For a minimalist look, the Peace Jute Rug combined with the Recycled Leather ottoman is a stand out choice.

Filling your Ottoman
There are several options for this depending on the feel and use you want from your ottoman. Old towels, garments, sheets or clean rags are the ultimate for an earth-friendly, wallet-friendly filling which you can pack in as lightly or as heavily as desired.
Upholstery fillings such as coconut fibre, kapok and flock are also an economical, green alternative, as is recycled foam or PET fibre which are all readily available from specialist suppliers. Even your local carpet retailer might be able to supply you with cheap underlay offcuts!
To keep it light, you may opt for polystyrene beads which are what is normally used for beanbags though these are difficult to find recycled. Whatever your choice, please ensure your filling is clean and dry.
Start by opening the ottoman out to its full shape and filling the sides at the top first to prevent dimpling. From then on just pack it in firmly, layer upon layer. The filling will bed down eventually, at which time you can simply add another layer as required.
