MANY ASPECTS OF ME was designed by accomplished Australian Aboriginal artist De Greer Yindimincarlie of the Wiradjuri Nation in central NSW
"The many aspects of me as an artist of many mediums. There is a lot more to me than meets the eye, as there is with all of us. The seedpod in the middle represents me as an artist, and the many branches coming off that represent all the different aspects of me and the many mediums my creativity spans. Being an artist of many different mediums allows me the flexibility to express emotion, mood, environment, and experiences without having to do it with one medium all the time," explains De.
"It is a wonderful feeling to be able to create a painting, a film, a song, a graphic representation, a new business, a product and a piece of textile all within one day. For me as a multidisciplinary artist, it is important to be able to have the freedom to do this, because if I focus on one medium for too long I will generally get bored very quickly, and the constantly creating is a compulsion for me, it is something that I have to do."
