Our Meeting Place Aboriginal Art designed recycled plastic mat is hardwearing but also elegantly stylish.
Eyecatching in earthy brown and white, Meeting Place is all about people coming together to converse and grow together.
Popular in schools and kindys as a group time mat both indoors and out, you can use this mat for reading and story times, as a play mat under the home corner or block play, as a glamping mat to keep the dirt and sand out of the tent, or anywhere you want to gather friends and family to share games, food or conversation.
Meeting Place is made from 95% recycled materials. These reversible plastic picnic mats are easy to clean, comfy and soft to sit on, and as a bonus, UV treated to resist colour fading.
Meeting Place was designed by Dean Jakamara Briscoe, an Australian Indigenous artist from the Anmatyerre, Central Desert, region. The symbolism of Meeting Place is people sitting around a central campfire, gathering to discuss the day’s business. The meeting place is significant for many reasons. It's a place for conversation, and a place to build relationships and community too. In the modern world, this mat can also be used to invite discussion about many topics, including culture, family life and Indigenous symbols in art.
Add a matching cushion to your mat for added comfort and style, indoors or outdoors.
Meeting Place Aboriginal mats in deep brown and white combine Aboriginal art styling with contemporary sustainability.

Meeting Place
By: Susan Hedley on 24 April 2017This mat is better than I expected. I am going to use it under the awning on my campervan. It is light weight and packs easily and neatly into its bag. The design is delightful. I have already had many friends comment on it.
