'Rumpus' was inspired by a meditative art form called zentangle.
It is one of the more complex zentangle patterns. This adaptation of the design and pattern symbolises elements of nature and includes charming Pasifika motifs, giving the mat its exotic island vibe. The olive green and white tones embody a sense of calm & tranquility, and make a classy, neutral addition to any home or outdoor space. Take a piece of zen with you wherever you venture.
Use it to define a play area, a space to create artwork, enjoy a picnic, a day at the beach or by the river, or in front of a tent or caravan. Sand and dust come straight off with a shake or brush, or simply hose it down for a more thorough clean. It is ideal for any outdoor occasion and is waterproof to help keep you dry and comfortable. The clever weave also means that, like most of our recycled plastic mat range, 'Rumpus' is reversible, giving you two easy looks - a little more green on one side to add depth, or something with more white on the flip side to add some light tones into a dark area.
Our innovative mats are ethically manufactured using repurposed plastic containers such as medicine bottles and takeaway food containers that would otherwise end up in landfill. Rest easy knowing you’re doing good by the planet every time you use one. In fact, this mat alone has diverted 3.4kg of plastic away from landfill!
To extend the longevity of our mats, we supply complimentary recycled carry bags with a zipper and handle for transportation and safe storage. We advise that you treat your mat with care and bring inside when not in use as, although UV treated, they are designed for temporary exposure to sun and the outdoor elements. They are not only soft & durable, but super easy to fold and store.
Take your comfort up a level and consider one of our soft, hand-printed, cotton throws. They make great cover-ups for when the air starts to turn a little cooler outside (and they're beautiful too!) You might also want to browse our range of portable picnic tables. They can be used for so many purposes - bascially anywhere you need a flat usable surface. For example, an indoor floor-picnic drink/condiment holder, or perhaps a buffet station for your bowl of salad, ready to compliment your beach BBQ. We've even known them to be used as portable arts & crafts tables - anything that keeps the little ones amused whilst you finish entertaining!
