Indigenous Design Play Mat
Childcare centres, preschools and early years centres will love this addition to the Recycled Mats product range.
This indigenous design mat is a giant recycled rubber educational puzzle which can double as extra flooring or dedicated zones for imaginative play, block play, or outdoors as a seating area for a small group of children.
Each mat showcases Aboriginal artwork and symbols to communicate a story. The mat can be used as a multi-sensory educational tool to teach children how Aboriginal symbols give information while sharing a cultural experience.
The mat allows you to explore how Aboriginal people have a deep connection and respectful relationship with the land, and gives you the opportunity to celebrate Aboriginal culture and it's people, one of the oldest living cultures in the world.
This mat could also be used at school assembly with a different carpet tile for each child in the class, as individual seating or can be used as a complete mat for a game at lunch time, and as a cultural introduction in libraries and children's literacy zones. It can also be used as a carpet in rooms or hallways.
The puzzle mat is put together with simple interlocking rubber tiles. Each tile is numbered on the back of the mat to ensure layout is easy.
Printed using the latest high tech permanent printing methods, using 100% green energy ( solar ), mats have been treated with Stainguard for protection from spills. Life expectancy is approx 5 years, less for a commercial environment.
